HONGKONG. 22nd September, 1921.
Sir,
I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt
of Lord Milner's despatch No.415 of the 2nd of lovember, 1920, and your despatch No.160 of the 10th of June, 1921,
with regard to the renewal of the licence granted to the Eastern Extension Australasia and China Telegraph Company,
in respect of cables landed in Hongkong.
2.
Two copies of the indentures enclosed in
Lord Milner's despatch are returned herewith duly completed
for transmission to the Telegraph Company and to the General
Post Office.
3.
I much regret the delay in forwarding these
documents which was due to an erroneous conclusion that
certain negotiations for the sale of the foreshore at North
Point where the cable lands might render necessary alterat-
-ions in the documents.
I have the honour to be,
Sir,
Your most obedient humble servant,
7.2. Stucts
Governor, &c.
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE
WINSTON CHURCHILL, M.P..
